How you'll learn
The course is delivered through a blend of online and classroom experiences including lectures, seminars, workshops, guest lecturers, and guest speakers.
All classes are recorded for review later and all students are supported by a keen and knowledgeable faculty, who are available to speak to students about their programme of study, business ideas, or personal issues.
Studies align with the Falmouth University ‘doing it for real philosophy’, which means we take a hands-on approach to everything we do on the programme.

Team working assessments
Your lecturers will be practising professionals with a diverse range of expertise. You’ll also learn from a variety of guest speakers, visiting lecturers, and business practitioners who have a wealth of experience in various domains of business – blending the contemporary theories of running a 21st Century business with the realities of creating disruptive innovations in volatile markets.
Students will gain access to the world-class, award-winning, Launchpad venture studio. Facilities include:

Excellent media facilities for producing promotional material and audio-visual content.
Libraries housing a collection of 140,000 books, 17,000 DVD and video titles, and electronic and journal resources.
How to apply
We welcome applications from those with relevant equivalent Level 6 qualifications. Our typical applicants hold an undergraduate degree of 2:1, or equivalent industry experience and a demonstrable interest in the subject.
Startups require a number of skill sets, so we'll consider applications from people with various graduate and professional backgrounds who possess clear digital business persuasions. Typically, these include business graduates, business professionals, programmers, entrepreneurs, digital designers (UI/UX/ web/ games) or arts-based practitioners.
We'll also welcome your application if you have formal or 'certified' learning (such as training courses not run by universities or colleges) and learning from work experience or self-study. This is called Accreditation of Prior Learning (APEL) and should have been gained within the last five years, and be equivalent to the learning outcomes of our minimum entry qualifications.
APEL applicants using experience to apply should note there is a £200 application fee for entry with advanced standing or with exemption from specific modules or credit.
If English isn’t your first language, you'll need to demonstrate English language skills that are sufficiently developed for the successful completion of your studies. We accept a range of recognised English language qualifications that are equivalent to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic minimum score of 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
International applicants who require a student visa to study in the UK must take a recognised language test that is approved and vouched for by the University. Our Applicant Services Team can help with any questions you may have about study visas or suitable language tests.
This course has three intakes per year: January, May and September.
