O Departamento de Ciência dos Alimentos oferece tradução de conhecimento de ponta com foco no desenvolvimento de alimentos sustentáveis, seguros e inovadores, com o objetivo de melhorar a saúde humana. A pesquisa feita em Ciência dos Alimentos concentra-se em estudos interdisciplinares que abrangem química, biologia, microbiologia, química de produtos naturais, nanociência, física e ciência nutricional.

The University of Guelph is like no other university in Canada. Research-intensive and learner-centred, our campuses span urban hubs and rural communities. We are known for excellence in the arts and sciences, and for our commitment to developing exceptional thinkers and engaged citizens. U of G has 29,507 undergraduate and graduate students at our campuses in Guelph, Toronto and Ridgetown, including 1,400 international students from more than 120 countries. More than 150 years after the launch of our founding colleges, and more than 50 years since the establishment of the University of Guelph, we now have more than 173,000 alumni living in 160 countries. Our students, faculty and staff pursue active inquiry and exercise creativity across a range of disciplines -- physical and life sciences, arts and humanities, social sciences, business, agricultural and veterinary sciences.
